Mini Quilt

A small quilt, typically under 24 inches in any dimension, often made as a wall hanging or gift.

Mini quilts are smaller than 24 inches in their largest dimension — sometimes much smaller. They're popular as quick weekend projects, as quilt show entries in small quilt categories, as gifts, and as exercises in precision (tiny blocks demand more exact sewing than large ones). Mini quilts often showcase intricate piecing or appliqué work that would be overwhelming at a larger scale. Many quilters make mini versions of classic patterns as learning exercises before committing to a full-size quilt.
