Crib Quilt

A quilt sized to fit a standard crib mattress, typically 45×60 inches.

A crib quilt is sized to fit a standard American crib mattress (approximately 28×52 inches), with the quilt extending slightly beyond the mattress edges. Standard finished sizes are 45×60 or 40×60 inches. Note that many child safety organizations advise against using loose bedding, including quilts, in cribs for infants under 12 months due to suffocation risk — crib quilts are often used as wall hangings, floor quilts, or transitioned to toddler beds when the child is older.
