Standard toddler quilt dimensions: 42″ wide × 58″ long (107×147 cm, or 3.50×4.83 ft).
Toddler quilts bridge the gap between a crib quilt (40×52") and a twin (66×88"). Most toddler beds use a crib-sized mattress, so a slightly larger crib quilt — around 42×58" — covers the bed with a small drop. They're also the favorite gift size for ages 2–4 when a child is too big for a 'baby' quilt but a twin would swallow them.
Not every toddler quilt is the same size. These are the common variations published in modern quilt pattern books:

The toddler-bed transition is a relatively modern concept — toddler beds weren't widely sold until the 1980s. Before that, kids moved straight from a crib to a twin or shared a bed with a sibling. Quilt patterns adapted in the 1990s, and most modern pattern books now include a toddler-size variant somewhere between 40×52" and 48×60".
