Quilt Guild

An organized group of quilters who meet regularly to share skills, swap fabrics, and celebrate the craft.

A quilt guild is an organized community of quilters that meets regularly — typically monthly — for program presentations, skill workshops, show-and-tell, and friendship. Guilds range from small local groups of a dozen quilters to major chapters with hundreds of members. Most guilds run community service projects (donating quilts to shelters, hospitals, or charities), host annual quilt shows, organize block-of-the-month programs, and coordinate fabric swaps. Joining a quilt guild is one of the fastest ways to develop skills and find community as a quilter.
