Who these are for

Quilt guilds

Put the size chart on your Resources page. Members stop emailing the programme chair to ask what a queen finishes at.

Quilt shops

Backing yardage on your website means fewer customers at the cutting table guessing, and fewer returns of not-quite-enough fabric.

Longarm studios

The backing and batting chart tells customers exactly how much overhang you need before they drop a quilt off.

Bloggers & teachers

Drop the yardage calculator into a pattern post or a class handout page instead of rebuilding the table yourself.

  3. 3Paste it into your page wherever HTML is allowed — a WordPress Custom HTML block, a Squarespace code block, a Wix embed element, or straight into your template.
  4. 4Save and reload. That is the whole job.

Questions

Is embedding really free?
Yes — free to embed, on any site, commercial or not, with no account and no limit on page views. The only condition is that you leave the small NiftyFifty credit line at the bottom of the widget in place.
Do the widgets track my visitors?
No. The embed loads no analytics, sets no cookies, and makes no third-party requests. It is a single HTML document with its own styles inline — nothing else loads.
Will it slow my page down?
Barely. Each widget is a few kilobytes of self-contained HTML, and the snippet marks the frame as lazy-loading, so it only loads if a visitor scrolls to it.
Why is there a script in the snippet?
Only to size the frame. The widget measures itself and tells the parent page how tall it is, so you never get an inner scrollbar or a gap. If your site blocks inline scripts, untick the auto-height option and the frame will use a fixed height instead.
Can I change the colours?
There is a light and a dark version, tuned to sit on cream or on dark backgrounds. If neither works against your site, email us — we would rather build you a variant than have you screenshot the chart.
What if the numbers change?
You get the update automatically. The widget is served from our servers, so a correction to the chart appears on your site the next time the page loads. Nothing on your end to maintain.
Can I just copy the chart into my own page instead?
You can, and plenty of people do. We would rather you embed it — the numbers stay current and you never have to re-check them — but if you copy it, please credit NiftyFifty and link back so your readers can find the full guide.
