Cat quilting fabric here runs from whimsical prints — library cats, astro cats, sushi cats, Japanese cats — to big-cat leopard and cheetah designs, including the Frank & Friends collection. There are 199 cat options from $20, in yardage and fat quarter samplers, with buy links included.
Cat fabric has range — one print is a shelf of library cats, the next is a leopard, and somehow both belong in a quilt. Here they're gathered in one place, from cozy cat dens to astro cats and sushi cats, in yardage and fat quarter samplers for the truly cat-committed.

A fat quarter is a quarter yard cut wide — about 18 by 21 inches — and a sampler bundles coordinating fat quarters from one collection. It's the easiest way to get a matched set of prints for a scrappy quilt.
Give them room — larger patches like squares and rectangles show the cats off, while tiny piecing chops them up. Alternate the novelty print with solids or tonals pulled from its colors so the cats stay the stars.
For a baby quilt around 40 by 50 inches, one to one and a half yards of a feature print goes a long way, especially paired with coordinates. Add a yard and a half for backing and a third of a yard for binding.
Add it to your stash or tag it in a project so other quilters can see it in action.
