The Thirteenth Amendment is ratified breaking the chains of slavery. The Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution was passed by the Senate on April 8, 1864, by the house on January 31, 1865, and ratified on December 6, 1865. With the ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment, slavery was officially abolished in all areas of the United States of America and the chaings of slavery were broken.
