About this swap

Amish Traditional Quilt Blocks. This was our second Amish swap. I did not participant in the first one and regretted it. So we created another Amish swap. Unfortunately, the swap was delayed because of a death in my family. I suddenly lost my husband of 33 years in December 2011. I was unable to complete the swap and turned all the quilt blocks over to my good friend Pam Crosby. It took some time but Pam completed the swap for me. I am so grateful to Pam. I was no longer able to quilt after my loss and the Nifty Fifty Quilting groups came to a stand still. My life took on a different direction after recovering from the intense grief. I went back to school to become a special education teacher. I finally feel the quilting spark slowly returning. I have decided to host another Nifty Fifty Swap after 15 years. The Nifty Fifty 31 theme will be Journey into the Light. The blocks will represent healing after loss. More details to come soon!! I have not completed my NF 30 quilt yet but I will be taking photos of the quilt blocks and post them to our NF 30 page as soon as possible.
