Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show
The largest outdoor quilt show in the world — 1,300+ quilts displayed across the buildings of downtown Sisters, Oregon, for one Saturday in July.
Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show is unlike any other show in the world. For one Saturday in July, the small mountain town of Sisters, Oregon hangs 1,300+ quilts from the eaves and storefronts of every building downtown. The quilts blow gently in the high-desert breeze; visitors walk the streets reading every quilt's label and meeting the makers. There's no admission fee, no convention center, no judging — just the town transformed for a single day into the largest outdoor quilt display on Earth.
The 51st Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show takes place Saturday, July 11, 2026. Combine it with a trip to the Cascade mountains and you have one of the most beautiful quilting weekends available anywhere.

History of Sisters
Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show began in 1975 when Jean Wells, owner of the Stitchin' Post quilt shop, hung 12 quilts outside her shop on a summer Saturday. Visitors stopped, looked, asked questions, and the next year Jean invited other quilters to hang their work too. By the 1990s the event had grown to fill the entire downtown. It now runs as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, funded by sponsorships and a paid VIP preview, and gives away thousands of dollars annually in quilt-related scholarships and grants.
