Windy Moon Quilts

Windy Moon Quilts has been Northern Nevada's Janome dealer since 1979, which puts this shop's history back further than almost anything else on this list — close to fifty years serving Reno-area quilters, and that kind of longevity means the staff have genuinely seen it all.

The shop runs two locations with two different personalities: reproduction and Civil War-era prints at the main store, and more modern fabric at the sister location in Sparks. That split lets the shop serve traditional piecers and modern quilters both, without either group having to dig through fabric that isn't to their taste.

As a longtime Janome dealer, machine sales and service are a real strength here too. Fifty years in one industry, in one region, is not a small thing — if you're in the Reno-Sparks area, this is a shop with real roots.
