Quilt Mercantile

Small towns don't always keep a business like this running for over two decades, but Celeste has.

The fabric leans into western prints and reproduction cottons, a fitting match for the building itself, and they stock Moda and RJR, both well-established names in the quilting world. Beyond the shopping, Quilt Mercantile runs classes and retreats, so it's set up for quilters who want to make a day — or a weekend — of the visit rather than just grabbing fabric and leaving.

There's something particular about shopping for fabric in a hundred-plus-year-old building that a strip-mall storefront just can't replicate, and that history is part of what makes Quilt Mercantile worth the drive to a town most people have never heard of.
