What is an EQ design collection add-on?
A downloadable set of blocks or complete quilt projects that installs into the Electric Quilt software library. Once installed, you can drop the designs into your own quilt layouts, recolor them with your fabric library, and print patterns, templates, or foundations — the same as any built-in EQ block.
Do these add-ons work with EQ7 or EQ Mini, or only EQ8?
It varies by product. Many block collections support EQ8, EQ7, EQStitch, and EQ Mini, while most newer quilt-project add-ons require EQ8 only. Each card below shows the requirement line from Electric Quilt's own listing — check it before buying.
Are these fabric or finished patterns?
Neither — they are digital designs for EQ software. You get the blocks or quilts inside the program, where you set sizes and print your own cutting charts, templates, or foundation patterns. If you don't own EQ software, start with the buyer's guide to pick a version first.
