Welcome to our Show & Tell chat room! This is the place to share your quilting progress, celebrate your finished quilts, and inspire one another with the creativity happening in our quilting community.

Please feel free to post your quilt blocks, layouts, fabric choices, works in progress, and finished quilts. Photos are encouraged, but never required. Whether you are just beginning a block, arranging your quilt top, binding your finished quilt, or proudly showing a completed project, we would love to see it.

This room is meant to be encouraging and supportive. Every quilt has a story, and every quilter is at a different place in their journey. Please share kind comments, helpful ideas when asked, and plenty of encouragement.

This is a design I created many years ago. (I think late 1990s) It is a family history, 4 generations, of handprints and dates of births, and color coded to families lines. I have 3 more hand prints to add this year, and then it goes back to hanging on my dad's wall.

Wow!! What a neat idea. I love it. I had cross stitched hearts for all our family members and appliqued them onto my parents quilt. I was on her bed for years. I will need to dig up a photo to share.

This is from our Nifty Fifty Monthly Swap. We swapped 6 inch blocks for each of the twelve months. This is June and I call it Boating.

Here is a blue 3D wallhanging I made years ago. I took a color confident class from Jinny Beyer. I had forgot my book for her to sign so she signed the back of this wallhanging. I love the 3D effect and the blues with a touch of greens. I also made a purple one for my daughter. I do have a red and green UFO wallhanging of the same pattern. I never completed the corners and now I am sure I do not have the dark colors to complete it. Should I leave it this shape instead of finding enough dark greens to complete it?

You must focus your vision on the larger squares going around the quilt to see the three dimensional pattern. First focus at the squares with the outer green tips to see the 3D effect one way and then focus on the squares with outer red tips to see a different 3D effect. You can visual four cubes shooting out from the center of the wallhanging

The WTC Memorial Quilt Project...Honor quilts were made for the heros of 9/11 including rescue dogs, police, firemen, EMT, health care workers. This is the one we donated to the Pentagon.
