Hi everyone! My name is Teresa and I live in Virginia. I’ve been quilting since the late 1990’s and quilting has been such a wonderful creative journey for me over the years.

I used to do everything completely by hand because I loved the process so much. As my quilting projects started multiplying faster than I could finish them, I began machine piecing and machine quilting too — and now I enjoy a little of both worlds!

One thing I’m especially excited about is hearing from all of you and learning what kinds of quilting you enjoy most. I’d also love to hear from members who have been trying out our new quilting tools here on Nifty Fifty Quilting.

I recently used the Quilt Designer tool to lay out my granddaughter’s quilt blocks, and it was incredibly helpful to see how all the colors and fabrics interacted before sewing everything together. Being able to experiment with layouts and sizing ahead of time saved me so much second-guessing!

I am making two of these for my granddaughters. I think one will have a blue border and the other one will have a pink.

Are there any helpful sewing or quilting features quilters would like to see on our Nifty Fifty platform? My son can build the software on any helpful program. Any suggestions?
