A curved piecing classic that creates winding, meandering paths across the quilt surface. Despite the name, this elegant pattern has been used in temperance quilts and modern art quilts alike.

Use curved piecing templates to cut convex and concave quarter-circle pieces. Pin carefully at centers and edges. Sew with a scant quarter-inch seam, easing the curves.
