Seam Ripper
A small tool with a hooked blade for removing stitches cleanly.
The seam ripper is every quilter's constant companion — because quilting involves so much precise piecing, mistakes happen and seams must be removed and re-sewn. A good seam ripper has a sharp, fine blade on the inner curve of a U-shaped hook. To remove a seam efficiently, use the tip to pop every third or fourth stitch on one side, then flip the piece over and pull the thread on the other side — it usually comes away in one continuous pull. Ergonomic seam rippers with cushioned handles reduce hand fatigue.
Practice makes perfect.
